Anstey Nomads FC, 70 years young and still going strong....

One of the oldest and best supported Clubs in Leicestershire

Established in 1947 and still going strong.

In 2018, after many years of working in partnership, we merged with Anstey Swifts FC our local youth football club.

The "new" Nomads heading into the 2018-19 season boast 24 teams, with players from age 4 through to adulthood.

The Swifts motto was simple "Football for All!" and we still hold this close to what we do. Our academy takes players (girls and boys) from 4 years old, they then move into age based teams from age 6.

From Under 7 (school year 2) through to Under 16 we have the ANFC Youth section "The Swifts". Playing in 5 leagues across the county with over 200 players there is always something happening.

The fastest growing section of the Swifts is Girls football. We are pleased that for 2018-19 we have four teams entered in the Leicester City and County Girls League. We also run an SSE Wildcats Girls Football Centre supported by The FA during the summer months.

Everything you you could want to know about the Swifts can be found at www.ansteyswifts.co.uk

Senior football takes over from under 18.

With the first team playing in the United Counties League, the reserves in the Leicestershire Seniors League and the U18 in the Midweek Floodlit League.

Finally when you thought your playing days were over, we run weekly walking football sessions. It's football, just more kick and less rush.

So Anstey Nomads FC. Football for All!
